I think the channel does a great job of really breaking the rules down. The thought process mirrors my own much of the time.
The tracking thing was first on my mind as well! I am kinda hoping they release tokens or something like that.
I think that the names do make sense though as how would a tree help you against someone swinging an ax in your face? A bunker however... And I will always be using the Obscuring rule I think for applicable terrain. It is a solid rule in my opinion.

Thanks for the video man, I recently got into 40K during 8th and learning all the rules. Evidently, right as I started learning everything, 9th comes out and decided "let's change damn near everything now." Btw, you can use Locetite 404 I believe to repair or reglue your battlemats, its wat I use to make my 3x3 maps for xwing.

I'm in the middle of building a baneblade and the terrain rule is driving me mad considering its height in comparison with a knight. its a cool model but im left thinking I should just have bought 3 leman russ's instead, atleast the knights get an invulnerable save

While I think the terrain rules like Obscuring is a welcome addition (and I think it should be standard tbh). I think it's pretty easy to circumvent. Say you have a Bloodthirster standing around, and in between that monstrosity and a squad of guardsmen is a terrain piece that fully qualifies as obscuring it, but with the models massive windspan, what's preventing the rule from measuring from a guardsman's tip of his rifle to the tip of the bloodthirster's wing, and in that measurement, it bypasses the obscuring terrain piece?
But OniFeeZ that's not playing to the spirit of the rules you say; and I fully agree, but I bet dollars to donuts that'll happen in a game somewhere.

Interesting to hear about what we know for terrain. I agree terrain kinda went a little too far the wrong way and became almost pointless from a narrative perspective. Glad to see it expanded and fully expect some tokens of some sort to represent the terrain rules to mark the agreed traits straight during a game. If not I am sure the indie token makers will be on it in a flash.
I agree with you that simple whilst good can sometimes come at too great a cost to the narrative. It seems there have been some strides in the right direction and looking forward to what else is to be revealed prior to release.
I am interested to see how the terrain will limit ground moving vehicles and very large walkers, if their passage will potentially change some of the described traits or terrain state due to the destruction caused by such vehicles.

I like your keeping to the bigger table sizes. I am sorry you fell for the lie about what is a regular dining room table size at IKEA. For 44 inch wide table, you have to custom order it or pay extra cause that is not a common size. The actual common table is 36 inches wide, making it to narrow. Alsonge already sells just the board, it is call a killzone and each board comes with terrian also and sells for 90 USD
