Thank you, Lewis. My 20yo son is a trans man. I bought your book to better enable me to understand their teen years. I am so extremely upset that he felt such confusion. It was not until he was 17 that he knew he was definitely He.
He will always be loved and supported. By his whole family! Even if he did say about my recent haircut with a fringe, "Grayson Perry's having a rough day!"

I was assigned male at birth
Identify as genderfluid but probably have similar dysphoria to that of a trans woman as I want to embrace femininity more, but at the same time I don’t wish to undergo surgery or anything, I feel happy to switch between male and female

That was a very good descriptive video of how that feels. My voice NEVER changed, I've had people tell me "When you talk I still hear a female" UGH... I've looked into surgery for voice changing as well as voice exercises. So far I've found out I'm too poor for surgery and too lazy to follow daily routines to change my voice (I'm 43 so was already fully "grown up" when I started my transition. Rats...

I've been on testosterone for about 9 months now and, although I'm much more masculine than before and my voice has dropped significantly, one tiny change in the way I dress and people misgender me.
One time I literally just tied my hair and some dudes though I was a girl. It's a nightmare!
Hopefully I'll be able to wear whatever I want and still pass as a man once I've been on testosterone for more than a year, because I do enjoy wearing more feminine styles now and then.
I also can't wait for top surgery so that I can be comfortable wearing just a T-shirt or a tank top during summer cause it gets pretty hot where I live

This is amazing! I haven't seen anything that explains what it feels like so amazingly, i came out as non-binary a few months ago, and have 2 teans sisters, so our family was a bit... Fruity. I love ypur content lewis and support you in all you do ❤❤❤
