What a mistake, beating on the planet
Keep the faith, for everybody on it
One Love, isn’t that
What we’re talking about?

What a surprise, I was needing to listen to my guitar solo on "One," refreshing myself for gigs in April, and I found this early ref ~ of course, not filled out yet, but I could sure hear every note on the solo!

I didn't really put that much time into this, wanting more to practice, but "accidentally" got into it, and I'm glad. Tried not to be too precious about the photos, I tried to use ones I haven't posted too much that were lying around ... many are from my private collection, some are by Ann, one Fanny vintage (me on motorcycle) by Oliver Strewe, etc. I will post the whole list ... Enjoy!

22. One of Lee's very first gigs with us, at IMAWest probably around New Year's Eve 1996 ...
23. Lee playing with Mommy and Auntie June in LA, 2013 (a feminist conference, where the movie
"Feminist: Stories from Women's Liberation" by Jennifer Lee was played. Fanny (me, Jean, and Alice) re-recorded two Fanny songs here, at IMAEast - Lee, engineer - earlier in 2013.
24. Photo by Per Brandin at IMAEast, where I live and work today - Goshen, MA
25. Playing live with girls from one of our summer Rock 'n Roll Camps, by Yasmina Mattison-Sudan, herself a former attendee.
26. A vignette snapped at one of our outdoor festivals among the redwoods in the Guerneville, CA (late '90s to early 2000's) ~ probably taken by Ann.
27. A snap in downtown Northampton of some of "our" girls crossing the street. I asked her if this was posed ~ she said o, she didn't even know they were downtown when she was. Amazing!!
28. me and Jean working on a recording at IMAWest sometime in the 90's. Loved that place!!
29. Me and Jean at our first house in the US, on Portola Way in Sacramento. Maybe, around '63? I think we were still playing hootenannies ...
30. A family snap at our Mom's house in Davis ... and our Dad's in this one! Back, from left: Richard, Jean, our Dad John, me, Mom Yolanda, and youngest sister Sylvia. Front, our brother David Scott, who is now an soundman in Hawaii and has worked with us here at IMA a lot!!
31. A selfie taken by Toshi Reagon in the IMA Studio in 2021. As soon as she found out I was in cancer treatments she came right up, spent a few hours, turned around and went right back to NYC! I loved that, and her, so.
32. A photo taken by Oliver Strewe somewhere in England during the last Fanny tour I was on, circa late summer '73.
33. Jean and I were taking photos at dawn at Waimanalo beach (outside of Honolulu) with pal Neal Izumi for the cover of "Ticket to Wonderful," somewhere around 1996. I actually got up before dawn! And we found this the beach ~ fishermen use them to weigh down their nets, and this one had gotten loose. Perfect.
34. Doing a guitar overdub in the IMA Studio, I believe with engineer Dave Chalfant behind me (who's teaching the Recording program here at IMA this year ~ he's so good!!). We were working on a Kristen Ford album, the cuts I produced:))
35. Playing with Fanny at Frolics, circa 1972. Behind me is Alice, hidden by the cymbals.
36. Snap! With Fanny at an airport, I don't know who took this ~ maybe our road manager, Mark Hammerman. He was a great guy, so professional and quietly took care of business ...

What? I only used 36 photos???!! xx

It was absolutely wonderful to see all those pictures accompanying this rocking good music. I think one heart, one mind, one love is where humanity is headed, and you’re slammin’ guitar helps move it all along. (And Cella’s there too. Awesome)

This is my favorite new thing, watching Fanny & Millington photos. By the way, you might fix the spelling for photo #5 in description of Tia Carrere (both first and last names were spelled wrong). It's confusing that her stage name comes from Barbara Carrera, but Tia changed the spelling to Carrere.
