Recorded at the Beatles Studio, Apple, in December 1971 with their main engineer, Geoff Emerick. Wow, was he ever good! We played our hearts for him ... many of these photos were taken with our cameras, but Linda Wolf took some (I love the one taken from on high of Nicky and Jean, while we were rehearsing at a Warner Bros movie soundstage, late -70). Huge!
And it helped us get our sounds together, because that's how it is on big performance stages (this was even higher). There's a tendency to get lost and not hear each other ... that's why our sound checks were so long, we were always concerned about hearing the "full" sound.
We wrote "Rock Bottom Blues" together as a band in LA, at our house which we affectionately called Fanny Hill. It was on a small hill, up from the Chateau Marmont on ~ Marmont Lane, natch.
Please enjoy, this is a pretty rippin', bitchin' track.

One of the great mysteries in life is why sooo many more people (even some who think of themselves as rock experts) do not know and sing the praises of this extraordinary band. 🤩
