Annie Lennox launched the SING campaign on 1st December 2007 World AIDS Day to be a voice for women and children affected by HIV.
To celebrate SING's second anniversary, Annie is auctioning five very special prizes on eBay.
The money raised will help prevent the spread of HIV in South Africa, where 1,000 people die from AIDS-related causes every day. Moreover, approximately a third of all pregnant women there carry the virus, and without intervention, a third of their children will be born with HIV. Unless they get diagnosed and treated, half of all children with HIV die before their first birthday.
But it doesn't have to be like this. With appropriate intervention and treatment, these babies can be born HIV free. The SING campaign is trying to ensure that every single person living with HIV has access to treatment and support.
Since 2007, SING has raised over $2 million, and helped over 100,000 people affected by HIV in the Eastern Cape of South Africa - but there is much more work to be done, and we need your help to do it.
