I’ve never understood why people combine sexual stuff with pride parades but this video has given me more of an explanation. I still find that aspect of parades to be weird though.

Ever since I came out I’ve sort of internalized the pressure to be more sexual and more “active” in the gay “scene” but really it’s been hard... I feel like I’m forcing myself to do things I didn’t want to and if I didn’t I wasn’t welcome in the community. I wish I understood it earlier that being gay doesn’t mean I have to be overly sexual all the time in order to blend in with the other queer people.

I'm gay and been dating for 4 years. My bf's German but honestly I've never been attacked for being gay. Never been to pride and won't :) simply cuz I've never been attacked or hated for being gay. Being gay isn't anything superior, it's just who you are, who you love. Sure Germany isn't the best LGBT friendly country, but compared to my home country of Serbia, it's pretty good! Besides, pride parades got a lil- outta hand in the last year lol at least in some places. Walking naked, having sex, walking on our fours w dog masks. Just show you're proud w gay flags, shirts, kisses, the nice wholesome stuff :)
