So happy you two came back to this! You nailed the whole Tame Impala ethos, every instrument gets the amount of love that an individual band member would bring to them. It's why we're always pointing out the fact that "it's only one guy" because it truly sounds like the effort of a group of talented friends. I absolutely adore the drum sound/playing on this record -- so crisp. Still get shivers when listening.

To me this is a timeless album that appeals to multiple generations. Years ago my mom heard a Tame Impala song on the radio that she really liked, so I bought her Lonerism on CD. Now she has all 4 albums and cycles through them while driving. Last year I took her to a Tame Impala concert and at 68 years old I guarantee she was the oldest one there, but she was jamming out and vibing like the rest of them. This album helped me connect with my mom in a way we never had before and I'll always be grateful for it.

I had a time period where I was heavily into psychedelics, and I would consume and then proceed to walk 50 minutes to the nearest park. Coming up and walking, listening to this album was a ritual for me. I'm sure I'm not the only one connected to the album in this way, but it has a special place in my heart

Oh my. When I was 18 I moved out from my parents house in Sweden to try my luck in Edinburgh, Scotland. This album was everything I listened to during my time abroad. Lonerism was so fitting, learning how to live by myself and cope with being alone in a completely new country without my family and friends. It was such a scary, but amazing time. Wish I could go back!

"this album sounds like 5 guys jamming out on acid" is the best comparison to Tame Impala i've ever heard, it's so goddamn accurate, it's literally what Tame Impala's first 2 albums sound like, and i find it absolutely extraordinary how one man can have so much musical talent it's crazy.
Kevin Parker has really become my favorite artists, for me he is a musical genius who knows how to perfectly make a song that transports you into beautiful psychedelic world.
When I saw you guys upload this video i knew it was going to be amazing, as I always love the way you two talk about music and the songs and albums you reviews. As a music lover but not a musician myself, hearing super precise comments on certain sounds, effects and instruments etc (Kevin sticking in the "intro" part of the song on Mind Mischief) is amazing to hear and really makes me love Kevins work (in this particular case), hearing and realising things only musicians would notice and appreciate.
Anyways was an absolutely pleasure seeing Kevin (not Parker lol) discover and love this album!!!! I'd LOVE to see you guys review his first album next (Innerspeaker), its fucking incredible too!!!!
Peaceeee!!!!!!!!
