Today would have been my dear sister's 47th birthday. She lost her fight with Huntington's Disease January 4th, 2012, 3 weeks shy of her 37th birthday. She was a HUGE Cure fan. And I, at 38, sit here in tears. But joyous tears (mixed with a tinge of sadness) for the wonderful happy memories of this music with her, as a kid. ❤️❤️❤️

It was day (night) 1 at Penn State my freshman year, that I met a girl named Lori and she introduced me to this amazing band. I was hooked immediately and have so many memories to many of these songs. The Cure was there on Day 1 and then almost the last night of our freshman year, we were at a function and the last song they played was Just Like Heaven. We danced like nobody was watching us and I felt so carefree and happy. I may have been drunk but I think we looked great dancing so carefree, like we had taken a class in it or something. haha She and I are still great friends, just many miles apart but what I wouldn't give for one more night at college.
