The barter system actually makes a lot of sense. Those different corporations will have different currencies with no centralised bank to facilitate a currency exchange rate. And for mercenaries goods and tools that can be used would be much more valuable than getting a currency you can only spend with that particular corporation.

Love this game, but have put it down for a while to let the updates come out and to catch up on other games, but will be diving in deep once it nears 1.0.

Splattercat, what I've noticed in regards to healing (unless it involves an item that heals instantly), is if you just wait for those turns after you've applied bandages or splinter, the wound will heal. However, IF you start running around with a broken leg, even if you applied said item, the chances of he wound healing are reduced and you may end up using another item.

So one thing to note is that you can also dissemble body parts. For humans the valuable bits are the skull and eyes, and the quasimorphs will pay handsomely. I love this game

Great game that is hard as nails. I put it down for a few months like I did Jupiter Hell. Coming back to a whole new fresh experience is part of the fun when leaning into early release type games. The brutal nature of this game is part of the charm.

I can't wait for more content before seriously playing it. Everything is looking REALLY REALLY great. This game and Trese Brothers' Cyber Knight Flashpoint are my next big expectations to fill the Shadowrun-ish mercenary/sandboxish fantasy like Star Crawlers, Battletech, Star Trader: Frontier and Battle Brothers (in a medieval setting)

Pretty sure it was stated in-game that there is a currency but the companies can`t sell to you cuz your an illegal outfit, but cuz your helping them they are willing to barter.
