I have honestly never seen two people so comfortable in acting out such romance. The reason why ppl question is because it just looks so good. It's ultimately a compliment. These two characters are destined to be together always. Thank you to Alice for creating them and to Kit and Joe for bringing them to life so amazingly.

The love in Nick’s eyes at the end of season 2 when he’s saying goodnight to Charlie never fails to make me tear up. God he’s so in love it’s palpable through the screen and one million kudos to Kit Connor for being able to do that!! It’s one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. Joe and Kit absolutely bring these characters to life and they do such a phenomenal job with it

i think one of the things that shows how much he loves Charlie that is less obvious is in the last scene — after smiling and staring at him in the doorway so in love, the moment he has to close the door and Charlie is out of sight, Nick’s expression becomes so troubled and sad. it shows that love isn’t just wanting to be around someone or openly liking them romantically, it’s worrying about them when they aren’t there.
love is committing to constant anxiety for your partner, being scared for them even when they are content, wanting to help them even when you can’t, wanting them to see themselves how you see them. love is terrifying because it means you have given a part of yourself to them, and have taken on a part of them in you, so if either is hurt it will hurt you both.
