$115,000 for a vehicle and you have to pay extra for a spare tire.

Glad it worked out and GM got the Hummer back to y'all so quickly. My concern is, if this happened to a 'regular' person, would GM respond with the same speed and comprehensive care? Based on my recent experiences with GM dealerships, they would not.

totally worth 115 grand. seems so simple to use as well. got to love affordable cars made for everyday people.

Would be interesting to see how that 276 range drops in the winter. Sub freezing weather will drop that range substantially.

I love how GM said it was a mere "anomaly". My problem is that a supposed " little " glitch can render this $100k off-road capable beast absolutely useless.

When my Chevy Bolt was getting its battery replaced due to fire hazard it took four trips to the dealer, numerous emails to GM corporate and finally the presence of the District Manager with GM Technical Assistance on the phone while they updated the vehicle’s firmware to get it properly installed. It leaves the impression that GM and its dealers have a long way to go to support software-based vehicles.

I’m happy to know you shoot your videos in chronological order, because if you went back and forth in time, that would be a LITTLE bit more important than any truck you have

Pretty cool truck. The first one I saw on the road was about 3 weeks ago and it was sitting on the side of the highway I take to work. It was there for about a week and a half. I wonder if the same thing happened.

Those are GMs helicopters following you guys to make sure it doesn't breakdown again.😂😂 Reminds me of when Henry was being followed on Goodfellas.😂😂

I'm sure GMs top brass and PR team were all over this. What a colossal nightmare for them on their halo truck to breakdown, which so happens to be owned by a team with a HUGE following. I get it, things happen. But a few things: There has been a looonggg wait for these for years. They're $115K(!!!). But...$115K isn't enough because many have ADMs. Tommy's offroad experience wasn't confidence inspiring either.(although that was GMs truck) Good luck with the ownership, TFL! Keep the content coming for us poor guys!

Enjoyed this video, especially the summary of the F150 Lightning. Towing is a big issue for EV’s. There was a significant difference with the trailer attached and empty versus the trailer loaded with the ATV. It would be interesting to compare those differences with an ICE F150. I was considering the Lightning but after watching a few towing videos, realized that the reduction in range with towing is a show-stopper. If I want to pull my boat from Minneapolis into Canada, I would be concerned how to make it to the Canadian lake from International Falls with the type of road for traveling. I assume that fast charging stations could be installed but I don’t see that happening for several years. At my age, I’m not certain that I will ever be able to buy an EV that would make practical and economical sense. Minnesota requires that EV owners submit mileage driven in an EV annually so that road taxes can be assessed (to make up for loss of tax revenue at gas pumps). I think it is great technology but not really affordable for most families, especially with the high inflation that is happening right now. Also, gas prices have been artificially escalated by current gov’t policies cutting oil licenses on Federal lands and the nonsense that the world is going to end in 30 years if we don’t drastically reduce CO2 emissions by 2030 or sooner. Also, the tax credit on EV’s is a big scam on taxpayers. The gov’t is not going to cut spending so the tax credit is only going to drive higher tax rates for everyone. All that said, I enjoy watching your videos on EV technology.

You guys are SO forgiving! That software update should have been addressed before you got your hands on this vehicle.

I just watched your video this morning. I want to thank you for the informative video. I also want you to know it was refreshing to see and hear how you handled a dangerous situation while experience frustration with this ordeal. It was refreshing to view and hear a video without a bunch of curse words and people acting insane. Thank you for being great role models!!!

Part of the dealer’s pre delivery inspection process needs to be checking for the latest software updates and applying them before turning over the keys to the customer. Also, if GM doesn’t do over the air updates how’s an owner supposed to know if their software is out of date?

Our XC90 recharge died twice within the first 4000 miles. We’re told that it is software. It is wild though because they essentially become paperweights, couldn’t even get it into neutral.

You paid 115k for a hummer, immediately broke. I paid 750 for my Yukon. Has 280k on the clock and I’ve put 11k on so far

Selling three vehicles (FJ Cruiser, Silverado ZR2, and the Lightning) to get the Hummer EV is quite a trek. Though I really wish they kept the ZR2 to do a comparison. That would be a great video idea to do, TFL. Absolutely love the Hummer EV, very awesome and badass truck. Can’t wait for more. Thanks again, TFL crew.

So they let you drive off the lot with a known software issue that should have been updated before you took the keys?
