Those stock tires look the same as most short coarse trucks. My Mojave, pro4 sc10 and hbx 3100a run the same type of tire.. Nice run hitting 65mph but speed does come at a cost LOL . Have a nice day

I hit 50mph w my HBX 16889Pro... running Hobbywing 10BL60 ESC with 3s 120c and 5900kv motor, slightly oversized wheel and tires and a necessary custom wheelie bar. The rig has another 5mph in it... it really insists on wheelies at WOT. The motor and ESC stay cool... Tons of fun! Keep up the good work and rebuild that sucker!
I have a 10bl120 and a 6200 2845 to throw into the 16889 next!!!
(My 2997A is a low mile machine right now!)

I was not expecting too many runs on 4s. LoL! Still a very impressive speed at 65 mph Brian! those cops were cool to ya too!. Now you got friends in high places! :face-purple-crying::face-blue-smiling: Too bad you couldnt cut a hole or notch out the chassis and 3d print or fab up a top cover to fit a larger pinion on this. bet with a larger pinion this has got 70 + in it! Great video dude!

Probly could have got away with a couple back to back runs then give it a few min to cool but either way it wasnt going to last to long on 4s & from expeirience with x-team moters is they have every bit of power they rate them for if not more thats what chewed up those metalurgy gears especialy with those gone bananas street slicks lol but great show man hope to see more on this car š

Has me wondering if a 3 s 2200 zeee 50c LiPo is too much for the hbx16980sa but so far itās a lot of fun and rips in the 40 mph range for sure .
