He still got the gun, gave it to her and left her alone to do the deed. Knowing that she knew of his affair and her terminal illness. Not much different than murder really.

F-it, let him rot. That's what they'd do to you and me! It's been documented, THAT'S how our justice system works!

He is guilty. This is typical bs. He will go back to prison.

If so many people see this as injustice why did they convict him? It’s scary knowing that stuff like this can happen( convicted when innocent)

I watched the interview he gave to Fifth Estate 6 years ago. I believe he was telling the truth then, although he did lie to the police and refused to testify at the trial. He may not be the one who pulled the trigger, but he gave his wife a gun and went for a walk. The fact that she was an invalid and he was having an affair is a strong motive to help his wife to kill herself.

The Fifth Estate is the only CBC program that I watch now. It's always been top notch and I hope they keep producing excellent work.

New trial, found innocent and then finally his long time mistress can divorce her husband and move in with him, as was the original plan. Should have set up a video camera for his sweet wife as proof of her “suicide” and he would never have been charged with her murder.

Outstanding work, once again, by Mark and the team at the 5th Estate.

I initially went into the story completely convinced of this man's guilt but I don't believe that anymore. It's sad to say that if the laws had allowed doctor assisted suicide from the begining, as they should have, none of this would have happened.

Judging by the way the justice system works.....we all know he did it...

Don’t worry, the justice system will keep working until they get their Brother off the hook.

I do have to say that many ordinary citizens would not have anyone, aside prominent people, to advocate for their alleged innocence.
