Some of the Royal family attended this service at St. Pau's but what most people don't know is why the Queen was not present. Her Majesty hosted a private service at Westminster Abbey for American military service men and women and their families currently serving in England. No media, no cameras. This showed TRUE heart.

As an American, it is very touching to see British citizens singing one of our songs for us. As a southern American, watching Brits sing The Battle Hymn of the Republic leaves me speechless!

From an American, I'm proud to call Great Britain our ally. Even though we argue a lot, we can look past our differences. God save the Queen and God bless America!

I lost my brother on that terrible day at the Pentagon.  I was unaware of the at the time it happened, we were in such grief.  But I just want to say how very much I appreciate this.  We all have to stand together.... Especially the UK and the US.... Sisters always!

As an American I remember seeing a British band play our National Anthem "Star Spangled Banner" that day and it moved me to tears. It's not every day that you see a British band play an American patriotic song. For a shell shocked country that meant a lot to us.

As we Americans are quickly approaching the 20 year anniversary of that horrific day, I would like to thank all of you from across the pond and around the world who prayed for this nation and for those who lost their loved ones, friends and fellow Americans. Be well all and thank you Lord Jesus for your mercy and grace.

This was one of Sir Winston Churchill’s favorite hymns. It was played at his funeral, which was also held at St. Paul’s.

The fact is that we would not have done this for any other country together with playing the USA National anthem at Buckingham palace without your President being present, an honour that has never ever in our history been carried out before shows the deep affection and respect we carry for your nation and her people. God bless the UK/USA

Any American remaining dry eyed after that thundering rendition needs to check his passport.

You could tell that most of the people did not know the song....they did struggle with it (It is tricky) which made it just that much more beautiful. Thank you to UK from this Texan. I will never forget.
