As a vocal coach of over 30 years, I agree with the comments. She may have been the best vocalists we’ve known. The aesthetic beauty of her tone, her stylistic choices, incredible ability to sing to every person in the audience. And she was proud to be an American. I miss her every day.

Shortcomings? A 5 octave range, supermodel looks, and a heart of gold; she's one of America's best.🇺🇸

Regarding Ms. Houston's shortcomings, "If anyone of you is without sin, let him cast the first stone...." Jn. 8:7.

Whitney had the ability to make a non-believer a believer. No other woman performer could ever do that!

This is how I prefer to remember Whitney. As an angel. Singing the hymn of the soldiers, marines, and sailors of our wonderful, miracle of a country. Glory, glory!

How is it that every song she has sung it sounds as if she wrote it. She had this incredible gift of " owning " a song, making it unique and giving it a new life. I have never heard another singer be able to do that.  Whitney, why did you have to be so damn good?!?    I miss your gift..
