I learned something in my 3rd play through that I hadn’t seen before, but it’s probably common knowledge to many.
If you complete Spellbound with Trysha first to get the Meteoron spell ability, then go finish the Sorcerer quest with Myrddin for the Maelstrom ability, as he is teaching you he will notice that you know Meteoron and will mention he didn’t know of such a spell. The dialog goes on to reveal that he determines you learned it from his daughter Trysha, which angers him since you gave her the grimoires and unlocked her magic, so he makes you leave. I went back to Trysha/Eini and got dialog from Eini that Trysha’s mother was consumed by her own uncontrolled magic, which was why Trysha was sent to live with them and was being held back from learning magic. I took Trysha’s ring that she gives with her spell (was in my storage) and had it in my inventory when I talked to Myrddin again. He saw that I had her ring, said it was a gift from him and wondered if Trysha was against him for sending her away. He refused to talk to me more until he heard from Eini about what happened with Trysha’s magic. I waited a day and talked to him again and he forgave me, saying he heard all that happened from Eini, and that I was the villain and savior of Trysha, saying that as her father he was trying to protect her from her mother’s fate and wouldn’t have been able to do what we did, which was for the best in the end, but he said he also regretted that it wasn’t he who was teaching her.
I thought it was a cool deeper level to what I figured until then was just another couple of quests.

Thx for the shout out :)
Speaking of Maelstrom, there's another thing that might be worth checking out / verifying:
Myrddin (The NPC who teaches you Maelstrom) appears to cast an OP version of the spell that oneshots anything when you're "escorting" him.
I remember getting an escort quest from him (from check point town back to Vernworth) when I was still rather low level, and on the way whenever I encountered a boss monster, it seemed to die soon after Myrddin dropped a single maelstrom on it. I remember I ended up dragging Myrddin around and abused him to kill 1 drake, 1 griffon, and a few other bosses before entering Vernworth.
I'm pretty sure it was Myrddin doing the killing, as I was not leveled & geared enough to deal with drakes (it was a time when even ogres were taking my team quite a while to kill), and I don't remember having any sorcerer pawns with me. But then this was already hundreds of gaming hours ago, and I only did the escort quest once, so I'm not 100% certain.
Would be cool if you guys can verify it, and if it's true, see to what extend can you abuse Myrddin :p

Something I only 'discovered' recently: Occasionally when travelling with a Pawn they'll say something like 'I know of something interesting, would you like me to tell you about it?' They won't respond to 'Go' if they say this, but if you talk to them there'll be an option 'I need a guide', which will lead to a follow-up question where you can ask them about what they know, which might be a cave, a chest, a camp, or even a monster attack nearby which they'll then lead you to. Only certain Pawns do this, it might be exclusive to Kindhearted or Calm pawns.

Who ever thinks there's not enough variety in the enemy type clearly hasn't played the whole game. Just unamoored world brings like 20 new types of enemies a lot of people haven't seen., but if you explore enough you'll find all kinds of things lurking, sphinx, lyndworms, crazy mages who summon dead, headless warriors, also if no seen the real final dragon the Pathfinder she's like 10x bigger then even the Arisens red dragon and has this massive design thats makes her spectacular. I play a lot of games and the enemy types for what it is are very good. Look at TLOU or Ghost of Tsushima enemy variety, it's how it's done not how many and DD2 is on point!

Not sure if known or not but cool little detail. If you pull out your weapon in a town or near people they'll run away or pull there weapons but if you pull out the sorcerer staff they won't acknowledge it and act like it's a walking stick
