I find the lead singer's ability to constantly change his tone in unexpected ways throughout the song super interesting. If you try to sing along yourself with the lyrics right in front of you it's quite difficult. Also, I love how Modest Mouse changes the "main chorus" which makes the entire song lyrically unique and unexpected on first listens.

I miss these music videos. I remember in high school watching this for the first time in the local pizza shop with my friend. The tv used to always be set to the music channel. Didn't realize how great those days were at the time. For modest mouse vibes you should check out Lonely Gimmick - Stay at home to sleep in, it gives me Modest mouse vibes and its my friend from high schools music project. I'm seriously impressed.
