Nehad El Sayed (nehadelsayed.com/) is one of the best oud players coming out of Egypt. He is also a composer and oud teacher.
Here he is playing an oud made by me (stenzel-guitars.de/) in 2021. It is the first oud in the world with "Enhanced Wood" soundboard (stenzel-guitars.de/resources/pdf/Enhanced_Wood_202…. Actually I wanted to record him on another oud , but he instantly liked this one so much that we decided to use it for the recording instead, even though he had had no time to get acquainted with it. Had we planned for using this instrument for the recording, I would have given it a slightly higher action!-)
The recording was done on Dec. 5th 2021 at ONO Kulturlokal in Bern, Switzerland (www.onobern.ch/) and was supported by the
"Neustart Kultur" (neustartkultur.de/) program launched by Bundesministerium für Kultur und Medien of Germany, which was executed by Deutscher Musikrat (www.musikrat.de/) and the Society of Music Merchants (www.somm.eu/startseite).
