It was around this time two years ago that my depression began. The anxiety made me feel like every atom in my body was trying to break loose. I remember searching for answers all the time. Most of the time I found myself reading through comment sections like this one to find someone I could relate to. It’s hard to reach out to other Christians. I felt like my joy had been stolen from me and I envied their peace and joy—there proximity to God. Though God had not abandoned me, I was convinced he had. Still, I believe having experienced his love for me before, has gotten me through these years in this fight to feel closer to Him.
It comforts me to find a Christian artist willing to be honest about their mental health.
