Dude, I remember holding a copy of Blood Will Tell at my local Electronic Boutique, trying to decide if I should buy it. The store owner pulled out a GamePro magazine with a review of the game that the author titled "Crap Will Tell", so I decided not to buy it. I never realized this game is a whole lot more than what the reviewer let on.

Dude the best part about Blood will tell? Plug in a Second Controller and hand it to a Friend. Now Dororo isnt that useless anymore.

The remake anime and live action movie are pretty good.

A year and a half ago a friend of mine was streaming this game on Twitch, trying to defeat all 48 fiends. At some point he was to confront the butterfly fiend in the bamboo forest, and he also allowed for the stream to have song recommendations to play during gameplay. I suggested Smoking Roll for God Hand. He did not know what Smoking Roll sounded like. My friend was taken aback and sounded like he was tearing up amidst pained laughing when such an awesome design was contrasted against such a goofy song.

music used in order, in case anyone needs it: > Shisui of Violet Tides (The Open Box) > Byakko's Theme (Amatsu Kaze) > Doma Castle (Gates of Moon) > Kugane Castle (Deception) > Seiryu's Theme (From the Dragon's Wake) all of them are from ffxiv stormblood

Honestly, Cvitā€™s love for this game has rubbed off on me; RED no longer being with us (in the form it had during the PS2 era) is a massive tragedy

Holy shit, I knew Tezuka wrote Dororo, but I had no idea Hiroaki Samura did the art for the game. Blade of the Immortal is fucking legendary, and his art style is instantly recognizable. Definitely have to add this to my collection next to my Dark Horse BOTI volumes with the rest of my PS2 games.

Awesome review. I never even realized Dororo had a videogame adaptation, but it really fits well.

This game one thousand percent deserves a remaster, not a remake, a remaster for multiple reasons. One of which include the extremely high price it goes for. I did own a copy about 13 years ago, but had a break in and lost almost my whole collection of games.

Oh, the things Iā€™ll do for a Berserk game with Miyazaki as Artistic director and Itsuno as Gameplay director (a fully fledged game with cover everything up to the end of Fantasia)

You always look at the coolest freaking games. It really highlights the PS2 as the most experimental and varied consle ever to be created.

I own a copy of this game and it's to date one of my favorite action/adventure games. It feels like playing the anime/manga; befitting the classic AND the time it came out. Not to mention it's just timeless.

I was actually waiting for this game to pop up in your reviews! Probably one of the only games you're reviewing that i actually played, as this genre of gameplay just wasn't something my family ever got into growing up. I have very mixed feelings about this game, since at times actually playing through it felt like i was constantly dragging my legs through broken glass(the final boss especially), but everything else about it stuck with me for well over a decade. "Back to the darkness" and "Away with you!" are phrases i still regularly think about saying! For a genre i had no experience with and a story i had no idea of this game will always hold a special place in my heart, i sincerely hope this game gets a remake in the future. Blood will Tell deserves it.

Another great video of a niche PS2 gem. I also enjoyed your choice of using FFXIV: Stormblood OST, I couldnā€™t help singing along to ā€œAmatzu Kazeā€.

God, that music in the background SLAPS. Very good review! I'd love to pick this game up sometime.

I haven't finished watching the video yet, i'm only about four minutes in, but i want to state that to me, this is the most enthousiastic you've sounded in a video of yours i've watched that I can remember. Which I mean in the sense of the sense of love for this game that the experience of playing it has left you with.

This channel and overall concept of reviewing (every?) ps2 action game is so fricking good. The PS2 feels like the last mainline console that had these kind of experimental, 'out there' action games. Looking forward to Musashi Samurai Legend, Skellington May Cry, so many others. Does Rise to Honor count as an action game @Cvit ? 90% of the combat is just hitting the right stick. Also you can play as a headless, roast duck with a code after you finish the game.

I still have this game and I loved it. The mechanics were so great and I never played a game similar to this one. I still remember it dearly and I bought it used just because of to the "Based on Osamu Tezuka's Dororo" line on the back.
