It’s crazy how you go from writing a song together, to writing a song against each other.

the saddest thing is that the toxic relationships are the ones that make you feel the most alive at times

I know Halsey and G-Eazy were wrong for each other, but dang they were so aesthetically pleasing together.

He's clearly talking about Halsey here but when he says "you probably think this song is about you" I think he means that the whole purpose of the song isn't for her to listen to it, but rather for him. This song is about G-Easy, he needed to say all those things to heal or to move on. He wrote this for him.

No one in the comments is talking about how the line “someone says G-Eazy and you go ape shit” is a reference to the concert when she went off on that guy in the crowd

They both still care about each other, which is the sad part.

watching "Him &I", then "Without Me", and then this is seriously like watching the greatest romance/heartbreak movie about a couple with a toxic love bond but hate each other. like you can really see the love in the relationship but then see it completely fail and see the impact on both partners. it's kind of beautiful but heartbreaking.

There should be a G-Eazy VS Halsey playlist. Probably exists already though

I giggled so hard at that "Leave me alone, I don't like you." He sounded so annoyed. I've felt that exact way about an ex 😆

I love Gerald but you can’t cheat multiple times and expect it not to bite you, I’ll continue to listen to both.

I think the symbolism behind him driving around in a car, is that he is moving forward but still carrying her becouse she is sitting in the back seat. With him continually looking in the rear view mirror is symbolism for him looking back at the past\ her being in the rear view is almost like she haunts him from time too from time to time. At the end when he looks around and gets out of the car into a foggy area shows symbolism for moving on in uncertain territory.
