There is a certain sadness that this especific song makes me feel, its hard to describe, but to put it in a way, it gives me this sensation that people will forget me, and that change is unavoidable. But then again this is not bad, its just, hard to swallow, its real.flourescent adolescent reminds me off all the people who teached me and guide me in life, but they arent in my life anymore. The strange thing is, that i hear this song even when im happy, maybe y just wanna feel sad to give myself a reason to think more outside the box, maybe not.Flourescent adolescent is a song that means so many things for me, the way it hass my brain thinking, And reflecting makes me wanna hear it especially at 2-3 am. To all of you reading this message, sadness its not bad, sometimes sadnes can be part of the solution, life would be meaningless whitout sadness, and i think that is why i adore this song that much

You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Discarded all the naughty nights for niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Nothing seems as pretty as the past though
That Bloody Mary's lacking a Tabasco
Remember when he used to be a rascal?
Oh, that boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Not as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seem
My love, when you dream them up
Flicking through a little book of sex tips
Remember when the boys were all electric?
Now, when she tells she's gonna get it
I'm guessing that she'd rather just forget it
Clinging to not getting sentimental
Said, she wasn't going, but she went, still
Likes her gentlemen to not be gentle
Was it a mega-dobber or a betting pencil?
Oh, that boy's a slag
The best you ever had
The best you ever had
Is just a memory, and those dreams
Weren't as daft as they seem
Not as daft as they seem
My love, when you dream them up
Oh, where did you go?
Where did you go?
Where did you go? Whoa
You're falling about
You took a left off Last Laugh Lane
You just sounded it out
You're not coming back again
You're falling about
You took a left off Last Laugh Lane
You just sounded it out
You're not coming back again
You used to get it in your fishnets
Now you only get it in your night dress
Started all the naughty nights with niceness
Landed in a very common crisis
Everything's in order in a black hole
Everything was pretty in the past though
That Bloody Mary's lacking in Tabasco
Remember when he used to be a rascal?

Someone I met online had played 'Fluorescent Adolescent' while we're on a group call. At first I wasn't really into Arctic Monkeys, I know I liked Alex Turner and his lyrics, and I was more fond of The Last Shadow Puppets. But it changed after this particular song. Now we've parted ways, but I'll always remember him and all the artists he'd introduced me to. He honestly had changed my life, I know this is probably a simple thing, but to be able to listen to this masterpiece is honestly a blessing. I've listened to all their songs now. And I can't find one single bad song in their albums. Magnificent. I really hope him and I get to meet soon, he really is a great guy.

Arctic Monkeys are one of the most addictive bands I’ve ever listened to.
