As an American, this blows my mind that our congress is somehow less effective than this Monty Python government....

Nah, he's the political equivalent of a floater...you keep flushing, but he always comes bobbing back up.

'There is no magic money tree'. Unless you happen to be in the Tory WhatsApp group and then there is plenty of money.

Crime (excluding fraud and computer misuse) is down 50%. Yes, because all the criminals have found it more lucrative to bombard your nan with scam calls until she pays them in a panic. It's easy to say crime is down if you exclude the fastest-growing types of crime!

The millions in the speaking gigs are payment for services previously done and as a networking occasion to pay for access.

I’ve never understood the short sighted idiocy involved in believing that you can code away inequality, no tech bro seems to understand that “garbage in, garbage out“, which is a cardinal rule of every single other programming philosophy, still applies when you’re trying to fix society.

It's great, the talking mop's career might be over because of whatever low tier scandal and not because he screwed the country multiple times over

He might hang around but his influence is gone. The Tory right didn’t even support his rebellion on Northern Ireland

This speaker guy sounds like John Oliver doing an impression of a Monty Python bit.

I really didn't care about the birthday cake incident. That was pretty minor. The other parties were much worse. I was surprised and disappointed that they didn't get him for any of those. It seems like the picked the one the public would object to the least and charged him for that in order to divert attention away from the other parties.

2:15 actually the worse consequence is a 10 day suspension which will trigger an new election in his constituency, which if he stands in he will almost certainly lose. Which will be his political career over. However he will still make lots of money, being given a seat on a board of a large company and money from speeches etc. Because he made a lot of very rich people even richer so they will now pay him back. For the billions he took from this nation.

I love Munecat so :D I feel validated as the only person I know who yells back at footage of Parliamentary debates hahaha I am not the only one who is compelled to join in and heckle the MPs. Plus "we don't need to cut anything but the heads of billionaires" is a solid gold take. I loved the anti MLM/scam content but the political content is even better <3

This weeks been interesting because it looks like we'll be headed back to the days of tough on crime politics at the next GE. So the Tories have to both defend their record on crime and say it's down, while still trying to boost enforcement because crime absolutely isn't down and everyone knows it

"We're cutting inflation by paying people's bills" Hahah, a tin of beans was £3 in one of the only stores near me and I can't afford that shit.
