🍗 Ultimate New Orleans    • New Orleans - HUGE FOOD TOUR!! Green ...
🔔 SUBSCRIBE: bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe Don’t miss new food videos!

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - Welcome to New Orleans, one of the best cities in the USA for food. Today we’re going on a mixed food tour, eating at a few local Creole plate lunch restaurants, and finishing the day with what is one of the best bites of food in the United States - Drago’s charbroiled flame oysters!

Thanks to Derek Robinson, my brother in law for featuring in this video. He roasts amazing coffee: www.instagram.com/dereksips/

Li'l Dizzy's Cafe - goo.gl/maps/mXLZ5Zy4uktPVM2v9?entry=yt - When I was in New Orleans, one of the restaurants I was most looking forward to eating at was Li'l Dizzy's Cafe, serving Creole soul food. They use family recipes and they have daily specials that rotate. The day I went, there was fried chicken and smothered okra which I ordered along with a smothered catfish plate. The food was home-cooked tasting and outstanding. Again, one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Price - $14.99 per plate

Frady's One Stop Food Store - g.page/frady-s-one-stop-food-store?share - Next up on this New Orleans food tour we headed to Frady's One Stop Food Store to eat plate lunches as well. On this day the daily special was red beans and rice, one of the signature dishes of Louisiana. I got it with sausage, and it was wonderful. Price - $8 per plate

Drago's Metairie - goo.gl/maps/R4FuJhdFFMRKX17K8?entry=yt - Finally to end this New Orleans food tour in the USA we headed over to Drago's Metairie, one of the legendary seafood restaurants in New Orleans. They are most famous for their chargrilled oysters, which are grilled over fire, lathered in butter and cheese, and set on fire. They are some of the most amazing cooked oysters you’ll ever eat, and they are without a doubt one of the best bites of food in all of New Orleans and the United States! It’s something you can’t miss when you’re in New Orleans. Price - $23.95 per dozen

I really love the part where Mark asks the person serving him his name. Rashad. He knows that the people that serve up the food he eats have a name. They aren't nameless. It's this human touch that Mark brings to his food journeys that make him so special. Thank you Mark, Ying and Micah for taking us all on your food journeys across the world. And thank you city of New Orleans for showing us all your amazing food and hospitality.

I admire the way Mark Wiens enjoys his food. A true Foodie - a Soul brother, from another mother. God bless Mark, and family.

So awesome. I love how Mark isn’t put off by styro containers and little packets of hot sauce. He appreciates the food and the context it lives in. Total class act.

LOVE this dude! Takes his son, Micah and his patient, beautiful wife with him on his Food Journey. He so kind to everyone but if he doesn't like a place, you can tell.

Wow, what an endorsement. When Mark's said he wished he lived in New Orleans to try all the daily specials at Lil Dizzy's, I was sold.

Drago’s is the best! I have been eating those chargrilled oysters for 30 years! It’s often imitated, but never duplicated!

Thank you for showcasing our food here in NOLA. I love my hometown and I'm happy that you got to enjoy your time here. Glad you went to Drago's in Metairie, I could live off their chargrilled ersters (how we locals say oysters).
