I live on Maui and have been trying to astrologize this horrific event. I agree with Austin about the lack of benefic presence in helping to mitigate this fire. Also, the root chart of this state as it entered statehood is a Libra Rising and this place is everything Venusian. It literally was or went combust. I keep thinking of this being such a Saturn in Pisces event also along with the world’s fires and floods. Aside from Mars and Uranus presence, the lack of water, the asphyxiation with the toxic smoke, the fact that a majority of people drowned in the shallow ocean which was also on fire, the barricade made by the police because of downed power lines, the entrapment of people, and now how toxic the land and water is just screams SATURN in Pisces. It’s just such a horrifying event that I can’t even begin to process. 😢

To expand further on the topic, the Spanish football team scandal was even bigger, since there were already 15 women football player that decided not to play for the team because of the terrible management of the Federation. The three captains (included Hermoso) resigned but decided to return. Funny thing? Venus was at 21 Leo at that time (29th August of last year), so I think it was a nice reverberation of the chain of events and the next Venus, the retrograde one, seemed to be an amplifier for years to come. In Spain the event has become really big and it may serve to check out the potential problems with sexual assault at work environments, while at the same time the pressure for Hermoso has become bigger because FIFA has acted out and the chief of thr RFEF had decided to put some obnoxious ways of pressure. It's become very convoluted.
The other thing that was big were the Spanish elections, that were set the day Venus became retrograde (and it was really big and fun). Following Venus retrograde this time here in Spain was... an adventure, indeed xD

Capricorn rising: This Venus retrograde was literally life changing for me. It was wobbly—both high highs and low lows. My wife of nearly 8 years and I renewed our vows, and despite a stressful summer leading up to the event (with a few potential breakup fights at moments), the event was magical, and many events around it I won’t disclose here felt as though they renewed the relationship completely, bringing back the initial feelings both of us had when we fell for one another. However, since Leo is in my 8th house, there were plenty of moments of frustration having to do with 8th house topics, though also completely blissful moments of transcendence and transformation. This Venus retrograde REALLY made me believe what Nick Dagan Best and Patrick Watson have been saying: that this is a POWERFUL technique. I’m still sort of tripping out over the entire experience. I also learned more about astrology this summer than I have ever before. Some things felt like they finally clicked for me.

My Venus Retrograde is transiting my 10th house ruled by Leo at 12 degrees, and is aspecting my 7th house ruled by Cancer at 14 degrees. I was asked to work again for and with the attorney I worked for many years and left angrily. He not only apologized but is paying me more than I ever dreamed, is kind to the point of amazing, and has asked me to help on one of the biggest deals he has ever done. We are both semi-retired, and it is great to be back with my old friend, doing something I love. This Venus retrograde provided this Scorpio (Capricorn rising) an opportunity to clean up an uncomfortable situation that has bothered me since November 2020.
