I sometimes have a hard time managing my time between writing my book and my new WFH day job in marketing and advertising (copywriting basically). I aim to get my book published this year with the publisher Tor Books.
Edit: i am often tired by the end of the day, so have no energy to write my book

I have 3 goals of 2024.
1. The Mage.
This is my very first story idea and project of my life, and I just never finished it.
So I will be working on writing this in 2024.
2. Fable of the Hunter.
This is my most recent story idea, and among my favorites.
I was planning on making this an animation, but I donāt know how to do that.
3. Shadow Bound.
This is my passion project. My all time favorite story idea that Iāve ever had, and Iām obsessed with every aspect of this world.
For this, Iām going to wait until I make a name for myself, and hope that a professional animator picks me up to animate Shadow Bound.
And those are my goals of 2024.

Gāday Abby! runs over with donuts
Found your channel through a google search of scrivener and have stayed for the content and community.
This video helped me write down my thoughts and give myself a bit of grace, and was able to create a solid plan that I donāt feel overwhelmed with.
After twenty years, Iāve picked up my pen, dusted off the ten books and screenplays and now have a road map I can work with ā¤

Iām not a reader, but I enjoy storytelling and I am so excited that my first book is nearly published. My wife is proud of me, and for the first time in my life, I am genuinely proud of myself.

I'm a beginner writer, I wrote a bunch during high school and still write short stories and poems, but I want my own novel and series. I find it very difficult to journal and plan. Its difficult to find free recourses, motivation and help. Your channel is amazing but I still struggle with motivation and patience. I have a solid idea, I explore the characters and the why and try planning but I soon loose interest. I feel like my ideas could be more/ the story isn't up to my standards. They say no matter what your first story is going to be bad but I don't want that being the start of my legacy. Even when I try and go without planning my stories fizzle out quicker. Its like I am stuck in a creative limbo and I cant see my ideas making it.
Your account and the comments and communities have helped me alot but I don't know how to have full confidence in a story and finish it. Its been my goal since i was a little girl and I feel like I am wasting precious time. How do I keep going? that's the biggest question as a writer I cant answer.
I'm so sorry for being so personal but I have the creativity, the ideas and even paper. But I cant find the purpose~ I'm trying my best x

Thank you for these tips. They are the key to going from pretend writer to real writer. I have goals I strongly want to achieve. 1. Finish writing my first draft (currently at 80,000 words 2. Re-outline and write my next draft. 3. Rewrite again. 4. Find alpha and beta readers. 5. Revise again.
If all goes well, 2025 will be the year I start querying.

Hey Abbie!
I discovered your channel relatively recently but have found it of immense help. I'm currently embarking on my first (and long overdue) author adventure and writing a novel. I'm about 15k words in and have a goal of a finished manuscript by April, and published before the end of the year. Finally decided to live the dream.
Your channel has been an incredible resource for me and I just wanted to say how appreciative I am of all of your videos. Keep rocking on!

Hey Abbie!! First I want to thank you on how much youāve improved my writing for the last several months Iāve been watching your videos, and for the wealth of insight and advice and wisdom youāve shared with me. I also want to thank you on how passionate + talented you are in writing, and how you inspire me so much to keep persisting to get ever the more closer to my dreams (I especially love your video called āthis video will motivate you to writeā because it did just that :) Youāre a PHENOMENAL writer, I was so hooked from only the preview of The Otherworld and particularly drawn to Jackās character!
My main writing goal for 2024 is to write and complete the first draft of a novel that speaks close to my heart, something I havenāt done for a very long time but will do my best to achieve this year! Good luck on your goals and letās all see each other at the finish line!

I work at my library, and few months ago, someone borrowed your book from a different district. I recognized it and read it after they returned it. I liked it so much, I had our district buy it. And it is now in my January book display, the theme is 4 & 5 star books of 2023. 100 Days of Sunlight is one of my 5 star books. Mainly because Wes is such an engaging character. Based on this book, you definitely have the chops to give us writing lessons. I love your channel, I love your book, and I think youāre pretty awesome. Happy New Year.
