You should design your offices, mezz area out of shipping containers so when the time comes you can take it with you and reset in the new space. Save some $$ in the long run. Also they are build to be stacked and locked individually so you can have some extra security and maybe a tripple height mezz. Anyways good to see the next space. Loving the content.

With all the improvements the owners are having you do, I hope they gave you a healthy discount on the lease. It's doesnt make too much sense to invest so much time building/improving a leased property. That being said, you gotta do what you gotta do. I would say you should do the bare minimum to make the shop liveable/workable and move on with the builds. Excited to see what comes next eitherway! :D

Use material from the walls you're removing to build walls to block off the windows.

You should put an old desk, shag carpet, 70's wood panel Pepsi machine, and hidden bookcase doorway to the updated modern office. :)

Chris, just remember while doing demolition . It coast a lot to throw everything in the dumpster for disposal . It also cost a lot to buy again what you just threw away. So in your plan of rebuilding some areas look for lumber that you can reuse.

Rather than building a mezzanine as an office, look into Bendpak autostackers or similar, & just stack cars 2 high around the walls, thus giving you floor space. Then add a 2nd floor to your old 'office space'.

It might be better to demo the entire office area and do all new construction, designed the way you want it than to do a demo / renovation. Congrats on the new shop! lots of possibilities. God bless. stay well.

Love the fact you have a large format 3d printer! That is going to be so awesome to see what can be done with it. Cutting edge B is for Build tech! I hope there is not too much of a learning curve for this particular printer. I have seen some videos from the 3d printing nerd and the large format printers are kind of scary as far as the amount of material required to make a large print and the tech in how to cool / heat the part so you do not get warping and a giant mess....kind of felt like all the kinks weren't ironed out yet but those videos were from a year or so ago. Don't get discouraged if it is trickier than expected. I know Chris is super clever and will figure it out!
Can't wait to see you guys get the cars in there and start making it your home

Looks like a big project. Like others have suggested I think using shipping containers or even demountable offices that you can design and fit out how you need so you can just take them with you when you go to your next shop.

Idk how to tell you this but I think the previous business that was written on the wall might still have the address you are in listed or at the very least would not be difficult to trace their previous location. Love to see your success and hope to see much more in the future.
One idea is to possibly change the front office, that you said can't have anything in it, into a B is for Build merch shop. Store the merch there and sell to people that find out where you are, but also install some very very good security.
