i've been playing pokƩmon my whole life, have never missed a generation, and i still thought pikachu had a black accent on the end of its tail until literally a couple months ago.

Iā€™m 100% positive the Monopoly guy had a monocle! I played that game at a very young age and wondered what the round piece of glass on his eye was! This is definitely a shift in reality!

In my timeline Pikachu had the black tip tail, I know, I drew him like 100s of times.

The woman in the 1979 James bond movie who was attracted to jaws, she definitely had braces and no one is able to explain that one, there are loads of people who remember her with braces. That was the whole point of the scene and their attraction, they were attracted to each other because they both had metal teeth. The ending scene wouldn't have worked otherwise, guess what.... The ending scene has changed.

The Mandela effect that pisses me off the most is the fruit of the loom logo. I remember learning what a cornucopia was in elementary school and when I would see the commercials I would always think ā€œthatā€™s a cornucopiaā€ but then now that was never real? How did we all just add a cornucopia to their logo? I never think of cornucopias in my daily life and I remember when they introduced the people as fruits in their commercials I saw they removed it then.

Itā€™s so funny to me that we call it the Mandela effect because as a South African, it seems crazy that people thought Mandela died in prison

I have drawings from when I was child were I painted the black pikachu tail, I was obsessed with the PokĆ©mon games and the show. I also vividly remember the thinkerbell Mandela effect, I used to play that thinkerbell intro on repeat. I also remember the Jonathan stranger things Mandela effect when the show came out. I strongly believe these 3 things existed I donā€™t know how they just donā€™t exist anymore but Iā€™m sure of the memories are real

Pikachu has black stripes in all of the fake merch! I know for a fact that I remember Pikachu having black stripes because every Pokemon thing I owned when I was little was fake and cheap. I even had a Sonic the Hedgehog bag with ā€œMickey Mouseā€ written underneath šŸ˜

I love humans. "Is it possible you misheard or misremember?" "PSSSH. NO WAY. Its obviously a glitch in the entire fabric in the world and reality being overwritten, not me."

when i was younger i actually remember watching the black and white series with pikachu having the black end in his tail, but then seeing the original series and noticing that pikachu didnā€™t have that black end of his tail. i grew up in life thinking it was just a design choice they made in black and whiteā€¦

The one that got me was the ā€œLuke I am your fatherā€ which is now ā€œno, I am your fatherā€ thatā€™s when I really believed the Mandela effect. Same with jiffy which is now jif

I experienced the mandela effect personally. In 2003 I got a tattoo of a lion's head over the left side of my chest. I distinctively remember it being on my left side because it kind of matched the tribal cross on my left arm. A few months ago i was laying in bed watching tv and had my shirt off and FREAKED to the point that jumped out of bed when I noticed that the tattoo is now over the right side of my chest.

Does this explain why everyone loves Taylor Swift all of a sudden, for absolutely no reason?

If I were running a simulation and I wanted to see if my subjects could handle an event as reality-shattering as finding out they were simulated, I would run small tests to see how people handle coping with shared delusion on a massive scale. Something innocuous, but deeply ingrained. Like an advertisement, or a childrens book. Then the question becomes: Did they pass the test? And, if so, when will they see outside of Plato's cave?

Ninety-nine percent of MEs can be explained away as coincidences and faulty memories. However, if you read about MEs enough, even the most hardened skeptic will eventually run across a few that just can't be dismissed, no matter how hard he or she tries.

The movie lines and quotes can be explained by people misquoting them or being parodied in other medias because out of context those quotes make less sense.

I had a mandella effect where the live action lion King was released in 2016 and I watched it, and when it was released in 2019 I was super confused
