I agree, my partner and I have a smallish bedroom 12 x11 but we knew we needed a king size bed as we had 4 small dogs that slept with us. So I opted to not have any dressers or chairs in the room. Instead we focused on the bed and 2 small nightstands. Putting our clothing in closets instead. It works well for us.

I need a king-sized bed because my husband sleeps like a madman. But I found extra narrow side tables to use. Amazingly, it looks balanced. Lamps with a port for charging phones are fantastic, one less wire looking for an outlet.

Thank you for this helpful information on small bedrooms. Iā€™m inspired by your videos. Iā€™m in the process of downsizing my small, one bedroom rental apartment. I hope you will do more videos on small spaces, and how to create cohesiveness between my small kitchen, small family room and very small bathroom. I especially would like additional tips on creating special small apartment areas on a budget. Thank you for sharing your design ideas.

I found Tatamis+futon make a perfect bed for small rooms, they don't look like something you can't step on and that makes a huge difference in the feel of the room. That is also very elegant.

When we first moved into our house, the main bedroom was school bus yellow. Ghastly! I got a headache whenever I was in the room. I chose Benjamin Mooreā€™s Hidden Sanctuary (1375) as the wall colour, and Peace & Happiness (1380) for the ceiling. A soft white trim created a nice separation.

I agreed that mirrors help expand the feeling of the room.. but trust me they should not be at the front of the bed lol

My bedroom is 2,03 m x 4 m. The door is at one of the short walls. I have a 140 x 200 cm bed. The bed is placed across the room, so there is just 3 cm of space at the end. That gives me the most space in the bedroom, so there is also space for a wardrobe and a desk (which is necessary to work from home). I don't hate the setup, but I also don't love it. And I don't know what I could do better.

Whixh shower drain looks good in washroom ? Tile fitted or normal one ? As tile fitted is very expensive in our area as compared to normal old style water drainage? Should we go with normal old one or with tile fitted design?
