I was a teen listening to this album.. dealing with a family members death, grief ridden and typical teenage behavior.. as I’ve aged and dealt with more things.. going back to listen to the album.. welcome to the family, buried alive and so far away have a huge impact in my current life.. the words speak volumes in buried alive for my current situation.. A7X will always hold a place in my heart. They’ve kept me going thanks to the anger and pain in the music it’s a makeshift vent to scream and sing along with Matt. Thank you guys for the memories. 🖤

The album that introduced me to A7X and I was blown away, going back through there back catalogue was a awesome ride. I've never looked back, Buried Alive is up there as 1 of my favourites #A7XRock 🤘

I remember 2010 and nightmare came out.. I was constantly listening to the album and kind of skiping some songs and Buried Alive was one of them. I was not into Avenged so much back then, but one day as the record played in the background i was doing something on the PC and track 4 of the album was the one i was skiping and i did something, did not have time to skip it that time and i started listening to it and is kind of soaks me in bit by bit, that beautiful melody, chord progression, the lyrics in the verse and that phenomenal pre chorus.. As the pre chorus started i clicked on my media player and i was watching at the name of the song and then the chorus hit… Big impact, something that to this day i did not experiance. Tears started pouring out of my eyes like rain, i was crying like a baby.. All the negativity on the surface and i was just in disbelief of how good the song is.. Then comes the next verse and the chorus and the SOLO.. I was crying throughout the whole song and could not believe that i skiped the track for so long.
I know people like Metallica(for example) or some other older bands but this kind of musicality that is in this song.. You won’t find it presented in this way from any other band. For me, Avenged Sevenfold is the best band of all times and time will tell that too!
When you did the “breakdown” series i was sooo angry with you guys because you did not do “buried alive” but this podcast makes up a bit for that haha Buried Alive is my ABSOLUTE best song EVER.
Thank you for existing😇

For me, discovering buried alive was like having one of those "special dreams" as a kid. Thats what i called lucid dreams before i knew what they were. where you consciously dream and go to a land far away that feels euphorically like where home should be. I would be able to lucid dream sometimes, I was medicated as a kid, so it was harder for me. But every time, it was special and personal. And somehow, in a way, this song gave me and still gives me those or reminds me of those feelings I had as a kid. I don't know why. Just the first notes I heard it was instant, I knew I'd be playing this song on repeat hours on end. This song just means so much to me, the lyrics got me through a lot as well, I've done a lot of different kinds of thinking when listening to buried alive, as well and it got me through a lot of the stuff I went through.
