You arrive along with the sun
Where have you been darlin'? What have you done?
You were out finding trouble again
There's a fire in your eyes and there's blood on your hands
Come inside and lie down to sleep
You ain't gonna run and you know that you're beat
Rest awhile, they're coming for you
There's a price to be paid for the things that we do
Fall asleep and forget all your troubles
Dream of laughter and old friends and lovers
Dream of when you were innocent
Dream forever
Lord knows you've been 'round in your day
But this kind of trouble, won't just go away
Darlin', now you're adrift in the deep
So just lay down your head and I'll sing you to sleep

While listening to this song, i cant help but think about all the people who took their lives troubled by the world and themselves. I would give everything i have to sit with them during their last moments and caress my hand over heads and make them feel loved. I dedicate this song to those precious souls.
"Fall asleep and forget all your troubles
Dream of laughter and old friends and lovers
Dream of when you were innocent
Dream forever"

I have an obsessive fascination with Lake Huron . . . Lord Huron's vocalist and founder, Ben Schneider, is from Okemos, MI and vacationed on Lake Huron, too. LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BAND . . . Creativity on all levels . . .this tune is all for me, waltz time, soothing lullaby, and the coming of the sun. Healing musical magic . . . Anytime, anywhere. True artistry here, folks. Check out their vids!!

A friend and I were having this long conversation and it's funny because we never talk on the phone and both times we've talked for more than 4hrs+ which is insane to me. She was falling asleep because she likes how my voice is so soothing and also of how late it was. I never thought she'd say that to me. Anyway, we stopped around 3:30am but told her how I sing this song to my niece to make her fall asleep and my friend asked me to sing this to her but I was not about to wake up my folks with my surround sound. Plus I was shy. Haha. I'll find this comment in the future one day and laugh at the memory. Thanks, Ben Schneider and the rest of Lord Huron.

This is a song when your driving at night after a great night and your partner is sleeping in the passenger seat and you just drive with a big smile on your face realizing how blessed you are to be alive and how great life can be
