I’ve listened to this song for years, long before I was with my boyfriend of three years; someone whom I thought I would share my life with. He unexpectedly and tragically passed a couple of years ago, and every time I hear this song I think of him. I have since sort of moved on, but it will always stay with me and I come back to this feeling every once in a while. It encapsulates all the emotions I felt, and still feel even years later. A death as such changes you and your perception on life and love, and it feels so vulnerable to be able to let myself feel through this song. I first heard this song about six years ago during my initial visit to the US. I also attended their live at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA.
