This music was the soundtrack of childhood for all the little girls of the early 2000s. I just hope that when later generations are grown, they will be able to find a safe place to hide from the world, as we have found in Barbie's enchanted lands, and all the memories we made in them.

This is why I love old Barbie. The fact they were able to use music from a real orchestra (even the music from certain ballets for their adaptions of the ballet) just shows how much detail went into them including the ones they used orignal music.

I'm listening to this as I study. I am 23 years old. These movies were literally my childhood. They were what made me feel magic. Now I am 23, somehow my childhood seems like a lifetime away, but at the same time as if it was a blink of an eye ago. Listening to this music makes my heart feel how it did when I was a child, innocent with no idea of how hard things could get when I grow up. I would watch these movies, then dream of being a ballerina or a painter with a magic paint brush. id stand infront of my wall and paint and imagine and try to jump into it. I truly thought magic was real. I miss my heart being so innocent. I hope one day I will feel this magic again.

Classic barbie movies are the best. Rapunzel, swank lake, nutcracker, the princess and the pauper, the magic of pegasus, the 12 dancing princesses. My childhood was magic because of all these stories.

I would love for Mattel to show how they made these films like the way Disney and Dreamworks do with their movies. Love to know the process, struggles, the ideas, everything. If there were an artbook based on the first few films, that would be amazing. The Nutcracker, Rapunzel, Swan Lake, The Princess and the Pauper, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, Magic of Pegasus and Fairytopia are classics ❤

Fun fact for gamers! So Arnie Roth, the guy that wrote a lot of the original songs for the older barbie movies, is actually a conductor now. He primarily conducts for video game concerts produced by Square Enix. He was the conductor for the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concerts and most recently conducted the Nier: The End of Data concert tour! I've seen him a couple times. He's awesome.

I'm 21 now, still trying to get into university (my highschool times werent the best) people i know from my hs gonna graduate soon from university and i still study for it... kinda stressing and I feel left behind... I feel like I'm late in life.
