The BEST cover of "Kick Out the Jams"...taken at an almost hard-core punk speed but with none of the usual loss of dynamics...great vocals from Eric and a superb solo from Buck...Terrific!

Further proof that BOC was WAY ahead of their time - who else was covering this song in 1978?! NO ONE.

If the aliens asked me to show them what rock 'n' roll is I think I'm putting this on

BOC did a lot of covers of songs from other bands they liked. This kicks ass, and I have the MC5 live album as well. Buck Dharma is one of the greatest underrated rock guitarists of all time!

Some of the most un-sung, underappreciated 70's hard rock there is.

the first time I saw them I missed a lot of the guitar playing - I couldn't take my attention away from albert bouchard - he's a phenomenal drummer

Mark Coombes... wherever you are.  You still owe me $35.00 from 1982 when I gave you money to buy me a ticket to the Edmonton show of Blue Oyster Cult when I was on holidays with my family but you used the money to buy  your mum a birthday present with it instead.

I've just watched the MC5 original live version & it's absolutely seminal and almost untouchable. BOC of course do a good job here, you have to be fired up to take this on & they are and of course they have the ace in the pack - Mr Buck Dharma on guitar ....
