Having gone to high school with Billy and following his career every step of the way since then I can honestly say that was one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen him do. Much like Billy’s professionalism, style and creativity are admired and studied so are yours. You’re every bit the consummate professional in your chosen field as he is in his. Thank you for YOUR talents.

It's heart breaking to me that today's kids dont have a Billy Joel to grow up listening to. I grew up in the 70s and 80s. Where his music spoke to me, to my soul. Kids today dont get to have that experience with music that we did back then. Today, they have no singing, they have a mic to yell rap into it.

It’s apparent that Fareed is a genuine fan and is quite knowledgeable about not only Billy’s music but his history as well. As a result, IMHO, I feel Joel responded to Fareed’s joy & was quite open with him. This was one of, if not the best, interview with Billy Joel that I’ve ever seen. I’m looking forward to seeing Billy at the 150th MSG concert!!

Saw him last Friday at MSG. Probably the 7th time we have seen him live in concert. He may have aged a bit, but his voice, presence, piano playing are as fresh and relevant as when we saw him perform in the 90's. The secret to Billy's success, besides his unmatched talent are his lyrics. Whenever I hear the song "meet me in the middle" I think of Billy Joel. An artist today puts out a song like that with two minutes of repeated lyrics15 plus times, compared to a Billy Joel song that includes differing lyrics within each verse and a complete and compelling story. The 20,000 fans who saw him last week represented every age group imaginable. And in the end there wasn't single person sitting in their seat. All were standing up and singing a song to the "Piano Man"

This interview shows again that Billy Joel is not only the greatest singer-songwriter and Rock pianist ever after The Beatles, but he is also an amazing down-to-earth and humble human being. I was so lucky and honored to be able to have a 15 min conversation with him and shake his hand in 1991.
