Aside from this video thumbnail being very misleading, the show Myths and Monsters is definitely a series worth watching. The reason why this video doesn't mention just Celtic mythology is because the person who posted it didn't edit the episode. The episodes in their entirety are all surrounded by common themes, which is why there's myths of different origins that are being mentioned.

The “Irish fairy story” is called Tír na nÓg and Niamh in the story wasn’t a fairy she was just a being (princess) from the otherworld. Would have made so much more sense having Irish historians/academics to talk about subjects to do with Celtic Ireland, almost kind of like Britain still claiming ownership over a culture that isn’t and wasn’t theirs to begin with. We’re not even asked to speak about our own history. I’m sorry but what she said is out right factually wrong we learn that story in school any Irish person will tell you🤡

0:00- 12:50 is Greek foundation, as if the Celts went to university in Greece and has a Greek point of view.
12:50 to get to the Celts... and somehow this channel thinks it was all oral and everything was lost, fools don't know that the storytellers are still living and most of the oral traditions have been written down. I guess Ireland needs it's own YouTube channel. Something not biased by this modern Greek thought.
21:00 we go back to Greece and then our hosts choose to tell us what it all means. Of course their opinions back a modern narrative, "don't be a man, just stay in your safe city and follow the rules". LOL all the stories told growing up were told in such a way to encourage us kids to be bold and court greatness. These people have missed the mark, or they are soft propagandists.
32:00- 40:00 we move to Germany, and the brother's Grimm.
This video has nothing to do with the underworld and only briefly touches Celtic mythology. Clickbait.

In elementary school, we had two separate playgrounds on either side of the school, but each was bordered by this small forest, of small trees. It was always a fun place to play, exploring what lay within. As usual, there were stories about these woods. On the left side, there was a trail that led to the main road, where we'd go to The Red Barn, a fast food restaurant that was popular at the time. 🤔👍🏼💭

19:33 hey it's the great deku tree! I'm glad the Hylian religion is also referenced in this documentary

Ah man, I was very much looking forward to Celtic myths, not Roman and Greek retreads that we have been hearing about since grade school. Thanks for the heads up everyone!
