"But what if I want Barbie, not Ken?" I identify a lot with this part of the song. When I was little I watched a lot of Disney movies where princesses met a prince at the end of the story. I also observed how Barbie's life was perfect, and adults told me that one day I would meet a boy like Ken with blue eyes, a great boyfriend, etc... Those lies they tell children. But today I realized that I don't like any perfect boy like I was told, I think I'm liking a...girl. However, my mother seems to be the homophobic type, even though my "religion", say, condemns homosexuality. I'm tired of lying to myself, I prefer girls... And who can change that? We don't choose who to love. Because if you could choose who to love, I would be in love with my ex-boyfriend. 🤔
