Here's one of the most terrifying and sad piano pieces that I have ever played. This is the 6th movement of Gabriel Faure's Requiem in D minor, Op. 48. A true masterpiece.

Faure knew how to create remarkable atmospheres. There is a new performance by a brilliant Belgian cellist and accompanist playing the Elegy for cello and piano -your playing evinces the same atmosphere. Bravo dear friend. Did you know that he wrote some of his most emotional music after the death of his wife? Keep on composing Michael your sensitivity is wonderful. Best wishes your Aussie/Scottish Michael friend
