Join Brian Greene on a wild ride into the weird realm of quantum physics, which governs the universe on the tiniest of scales. Brian brings quantum mechanics to life in a nightclub like no other, where objects pop in and out of existence, and things over here can affect others over there, instantaneously—without anything crossing the space between them.

So good, love that you're reposting the old gold... I can't count the times I've rewatched this... it makes the fundamentals so approachable for me.

PBS now posting videos without their original air date. Sad. This one's from 2011. I wonder if we've learned anything of interest since then?

Great to see the future Nobel prize winners John Clauser and Alain Aspect for their entanglement work here along with Steve Weinberg etc

Anyway Roger Penrose recently said in a video that the wave function HAS to collapse or "everything would be quantum" (wavy). That fact totally discredits many worlds interpretation.

There is one book which is explaining why the weirdness of the quantum world is not going into the biggest structures of the Universe. The title of this book is - "Theory of Everything in Physics and The Universe"

If quantum entanglement states aren’t predetermined or determined when entanglement occurs, then it would lead me to believe they must be still connected by another medium. Maybe on a small enough scale, certain interactions happen more strongly or weakly than on a macro level. Maybe particles “speak the language” of spacetime and are connected by it, either all the time or through quantum entanglement and maybe entanglement involves spacetime being entangled as well.

Great presentation! Thank you! I would be interested to know more about the photon entanglement experiment. The interesting thing about teleportation is that you can only extract what you need. And it sure sounds idiotic, but if true, 21 grams is a lot of information.😅

Dear friends you are right. But no matter how many times you listen to professor Brian and Kaku. They are everlasting new.Yet the thing is practise makes perfect. All the best to you science lovers....!

And there’s Brian Greene, looking miraculously rejuvenated! My clue to stop watching, since a lot has changed since he presented this.
