This song feels like healing, like the very beginning of healing, where you still have your bandages you take off to clean everyday and place new ones, where it aches when you sleep but there’s hope, it’s still painful but it’s progress and it’s, hopeful. It’s an interesting feeling and it’s wonderful in a sense and it’s looking towards the future and it doesn’t seem so scary

This song is already so important to me. Ella mentioning her father and brother and kind of just free-styling over this beat accompanied by moments of guitar is beautiful. It’s hypnotic really.
