Great video! I own the KJV of this Bible, the "leathers" are actually reversed on the KJV. I bought it because I like Spurgeon he is a " Prince of Preachers" . It started out as more of a collector piece for me but I have read it and have enjoyed it.

Very nice! I do like the look & page material you described. Nice review Tim! Spurgeon & his sermons are a favorite for me.
Incidentally, Spurgeons original library is in Kansas City, where I live. It was first purchased in 1906 by William Jewell College, in Liberty Missouri and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary purchased it from William Jewel a hundred years later for $400,000.
I visited it back when at William Jewel - the library was set up to look similar to Spurgeons study at his home in Westwood: Ceiling, table, chairs, drop ceiling lights, & bookshelves. - as referenced in "A Pictorial Biography of C. H. Spurgeon."

Thanks for clarifying that the excerpts in his handwriting were printed out in the notesā¦ when I looked at this Bible previously, that wasnāt clear from the photos I saw. Love Spurgeonās writing, so might have to give this one a look.

Great review as always. Love the cover, but I have this already in a good hardcover. The content is what counts, but I confess I'm tempted to sell my hardcover and maybe switch to this one. But, I think that might be shallow and superficial and a little selfish of me.

I recently bought a copy of this bible in the edge-lined goatskin cover, and itās one of the best bibles I have, not just the premium features, but the wonderful notes and the large text and thoughtful way this bible was put together. So many beautiful touches that were so carefully included. Just lovely. I have the CSB versionāI know Spurgeon would have preached from the KJV, so I did think about getting a second one in that version, but Iām fighting the urge to do that kind of splurginā on Spurgeonā¦.šsorryā¦lol

I got the Red in KJV Spurgeons study Bible. Iām a little disappointed because the study notes are not very in-depth.
