“Though I have only been working on this album for about a year or two, I feel like it’s been in the making for five or six. Listening over the final versions of everything, I can’t help but feel like this is the culmination of every single hour of work I have put into developing my artistry and my craft throughout my adult life. I feel, for the first time, like I am truly expressing myself in an unadulterated way; like, though it’s a cheesy term, I have finally “arrived.” This album is what the Crywolf project always was underneath the surface, and finally it’s been unearthed.

So here it is, my debut album. It’s crazy that years of work can be contained inside of a 50 minute batch of audio, but I guess that’s the nature of art and creative endeavors in general. I hope this album takes you to new worlds. Listen late at night, when you are in your room feeling melancholy. Listen when you are on a long drive. I hope it stirs something deep inside of you and inspires something new.”

This is so unexplainably beautiful honeslty. I read the description and I gave myself no other choice but to save every single thing you said in a document. That was truly inspriring. The transitions between these songs is amazing. I remember when I was young, I had a tiny green iPod shuffle (yep the tiny square) tucked under my bed and my earbuds on with "Whisper ft. Emalyn" on repeat for every night, having no idea who I was listening to. All I knew was that I loved the song. When time went by and I could never forget your name, I was fortunate enough to be there when you streamed that breathtaking preview of DYSPHORIA. I remember how excited and hype I was to be apart of something so amazing and beautiful. it seems like just yesterday you released "Stomach It ft EDEN" which is one of my favorites. The emotion you rocketed into the high notes towards the end of the acoustic version gets me every time. And now it has been a while since you released Cataclasm, and I could never explain my feelings towards the EP. I wish I could make it to one of your shows, which unfortunately I cannot. Ive researched every name of each song on the EP, watched the series of how you made it, and read the lyrics over and over. Your voice is gorgeous and really, the whole EP is a labyrinth filled with so much emotion and secrets and stories and lifetimes worth of imagination. Thank You, I definitely feel inspired, this album has without a doubt changed my life and "stirred something deep inside me".

Who still listens to this late at night or when they try to draw in 2020 ? Cataclasm and Cry’s other albums are such eargasms, it’s such a breath of fresh air hearing his music.

The mood changes, the build, the crash, the emotion, the lyrics, the drum beats, the organic sounds! I have listened to this album easily over 100 times - it never gets old. I find something new each time I listen to it both in the production and in myself. So vulnerably open, honest and poetic. Thank you for your hard work, Justin. I am living.

Gosh I just love how original his music is. You think you've worn a song out and then it comes back twice as strong and it's on repeat for another week.

This album was always playing while I was writing my first fantasy novel. Now whenever I listen to it, I’m right back in that story world. Like I’m watching a movie in my head of the book, and Cataclasm is the soundtrack.

If only Life is Strange video game makers would listen to this, they would totally include one of his songs in the next episode of LiS2 !

This album may be over 3 years old now, but it still stirs emotion from me every time I listen to it. It's such a powerful album that brings me to tears and comforts me with beauty and grace. I can't put into words what this album makes me feel, but I just want to say... Job well done. You move me with everything you do. Thank you.

I can't help but feel like this album is a soundtrack, belonging to an epic film I loved and continue to watch time and time again.

ive been studying the religious/magical tradition of ancient greek goetia recently, which translates to something akin to 'wailing' because the practitioners were funeral mourners and death-midwives by trade, and i really feel like this music is a contemporary part of such a tradition. goetes were said to be able to summon the spirits of the dead with their cries of lamentation, and truly their emotion was their power in such feats. this music features heavy themes of mourning, and even of restless spirits haunting the narrator who were never given proper burials and lain to rest in peace. their struggles remain unresolved, and for that they cannot move on. by lamenting them, their needs are acknowledged and their bitterness is assuaged until they and we can at last part in peace. perhaps not happily, or even fully forgiven, but healed enough that we may go their separate roads to recover in our own ways

Crywolf is the God of Chillstep if not of EDM. Your music is beyond this world man. That's all i can say because words cant describe such magnificent creations with a blend of Angelic melody. Such a Harmonic convergence.

I am so so happy i found out about him. His music literally got me through high school. All of his albums give these melancholy, nostalgic, euphoric emotions. Im so glad he has so many loving fans. Learning that its not just me loving this makes me so happy.

I accidentally clicked on this but then I heard. Then I saw the description. Then I realized I've been looking for something to listen to when I've been feeling melancholy for months now. Thank you. I'll fall asleep to this under my lonely sheets.
