British Vogue presents Riccardo Tisci’s Life in Looks. As one of the most influential designers in the fashion industry, Riccardo Tisci takes Vogue through his 18 most memorable looks: from Kim Kardashian’s floral high-necked long-sleeved Givenchy gown worn at 2013’s Met Gala, to Billie Eilish’s 2021 British Vogue cover.

Reflecting on his work with Rihanna, Riccardo recalls how the Barbadian singer was the “darling” of Givenchy: “We had this journey, because I was growing as a young designer and she was growing as the amazing singer that she is today… And the fact of Rihanna is that she knows how to take a risk, she feels it and she feels what could be next — at the time, no other celebrity was doing that”. Watch the full episode of British Vogue’s Life in Looks, as we break down Riccardo Tisci’s 18 most memorable looks.

You can tell Riccardo deeply respects women by how he talks about all the women in his life, from collaborators to his mother ❤

How did Vogue skip the Givenchy Haute Couture Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 collections? Those two collections were Riccardo Tisci at the height of his couture genius. I especially loved when Cate Blanchett wore that Givenchy Spring 2011 beaded lilac dress at the 2011 Oscar. So regal, so chic, so sophisticated.

What a charismatic, genuine and soulful man this legend is. I don't why, but I cried three times throughout this video. He's so heartfelt.

I Believe the designers should be showcased more. Everyone applauds the celebrities who wear their creations and their “risqué” fashion sense. However, these all come from someone who has such a creative mind and a team of hardworking individuals who help bring them to life.

This person is so humble and down to earth. I once met him at Carnival in Brazil and I went to show him that I had out of the runway blouse and that I was a fan of his work. HE COULD NOT BEING NICER! Just look how he helped so many people... I adore him.

He’s the reason I fell in love with fashion. His time at Givenchy, I was 11! Loved him ever since. 12 years later.

Riccardo is a legend. His time at givenchy was so iconic and really lead the way by embracing various communities that were long excluded from high end fashion. His looks were always very fierce, elegant, and modern. He should be very proud of his legacy.

I thought, "Oh here we go, another OTT designer type". I was very wrong. This guy is just so very lovely. I wish him all the luck in the world that any good person deserves. :)
