Beautiful language! I am a native Spanish speaker. To me, all of the sounds are so familiar. The problem is, they are arranged in a completely different way. But, every time I hear Greek, I feel like I should understand what is being said. If I just listen close enough, the meaning will become clear. It never does. I actually have to learn the language. But I have always been fascinated by the culture and history and the mystique of that which is Greek. And, oh my God! The women are so beautiful! I melted. Love the food too. But, the girls!

I am Romanian and I feel like Greek has something in common with my language, but still, it's very different ! The way some words are pronounced is familiar to me, although this sounds more like Spanish, but I could even recognize some common words and some suffixes we use ! It sounds like Spanish because both languages have a similar prosody and a lot of similarities in their phonology, but if you listen carefully, you should see that greek have more complex consonants. In fact, greeks can pronounce spanish language better than a Spanish pronouncing greek

To me, Greek sounds so much like Spanish mixed with Italian but I can't pick out any words from it. Its pretty cool!
