They're like an orchestraā¦ like violin, 2 banjos, 2 drummers, accordion, bass, more guitars than I can count, capos in all frets and a choir of singers... I'd just expected that to sound muddy and and undefined but it's all really miked really good and sounds great. The exuberance and power of this group is... incredible!

I appreciate how, though it seems Tyler is more naturally talkative or sociable, he makes sure to invite Maggie to speak, so it never seems like she hasn't contributed as much as he has to their music. He does it even more in newer interviews but he was already doing it here. It's good, because though Maggie isn't a shrinking violet (I think they actually said in their recent podcast interview that she was always the more rebellious sibling while he was the more people-pleasing one), she does tend to keep a little more out of the spotlight between songs or in interviews. He makes sure she gets her say anyway. I think it's all of a piece with the way I've seen him look after the band and the audience in a few videos, checking up on how everyone's doing. I don't know them personally, but they really seem to have an aspirational sibling relationship.

This must be almost the best they've ever sounded! The fuller instrumentation and chorus in "Wishing Well" made me feel real awe, that violin gave "Hello My Old Heart" an incomparably uplifting air, the second female voice harmonizing with Maggie's adds so much, the DRUMS! Great recording too. I'm so grateful for the invention of headphones. I'm only 20 minutes into the video but already felt too moved not to comment.
