Interesting facts about this recording;
- Cobain’s acoustic/electric guitar, a 1959 Martin D-18E, is the most expensive guitar ever sold at auction for 6 million dollars. 2nd most is his Fender Mustang.
- Pat Smear, who joined Nirvana as a rhythm guitarist in 93, is playing guitar as well. He was in great bands like the Germs & 45 Grave and is currently playing for the Foo Fighters.
- The first release after Cobain’s death in November 94, initially to combat the multiplying bootleg copies. It broke numerous records & has since went MULTIPLATINUM.
- Producers argued that Cobain’s guitar shouldn’t have effect pedals, which he wanted to use. This lead to Cobain hiding his pedals until he was live on air, when obviously he couldn’t be interfered. You can hear it beautifully on The Man Who Sold the World.
- Encore request we’re rampant from everyone outside the band, however they themselves behind curtains claimed that there was no way they could top the last song performed.
