During the livestream I initially thought Josh's face in the snow was a funny reveal, but seeing it again I think Josh is a symbol of the music they create together, the bigger picture. A vignette is an effect that only shows a snapshot or a piece of the whole picture (in literature and in photography), and I connect with this as a metaphor for my own struggles with anxiety and depression leading me to focus on all of the bad thoughts and spiral into despair.
But when I step back after an episode (a relapse, a binge,...) I can see the bigger picture of my life and appreciate what has come out of it. My relationships today, my passions, my own art, are an amalgamation of all my experiences. When I'm in the thick of a bad episode, I do have affirmations and promises I tell myself to hang on longer. "This is a bad day and it will pass," "I am loved and worth it," "Everything is going to be okay, I'm safe." God this is such an incredible song. I don't want to speculate about Tyler's own life experiences and theorize about him, but this track is a standout to me and hits so close to my battle with suicidality and giving up.

42 yrs old loving everything Tyler and Josh put out. Our 18 yr old boy got all 4 of us pit tickets for Seattles concert. And yes we will be in line 12 hrs early to get upfront. Scaled and icy at climate pledge our boy had tears of joy. If you can make your kid she'd tears from happiness your doing alright as a parent.
