For thanksgiving break me and my family drove down to Bolivar Peninsula and on our way back home we had to stop in Houston. I saw these bayous and decided to get my fishing gear out. First catch, I caught the same exact “alien fish” in the beginning of the video. Houston is just wonderful. ❤

3:34 that fish is known as a common pleco (plec), and are indeed invasive armored catfish. They are frequently bought at pet stores to clean tanks of algae and other grime, but they can get over 12 inches, so people release them into the water, where it will destroy all plant matter
