That end, though...
"Don't overthink it
One day at a time, kid
Add up the days
You got someone to do life with
Love isn't big, kid
It's little and quiet
Let's do today
I think you'll turn out to like it"
...
If this is the last Turning Out song, then this is the perfect ending. There isn't quite a way to describe the vibes that end gives off, but the closest thing I can think of is almost like a parent or mentor who had gone through some crap and come to find things out on their own is teaching a student or a kid about what they learned without getting into detail
To continue my thoughts, I'mma be honest, that end was something I really needed to hear, as someone who is super uncertain about anything relating to love and someone who loves to overthink everything and not just let things be (and that includes ways not relating to love), that ending REALLY speaks to me. Just... Words can't describe how much I need to hear that some days

"Let's do today, I think that you'll like it"...
This is such an important lyric for me. Even if it's in the context of just, today, in this relationship, instead of worrying about whatever future problems will turn up... It's so good as general advice, too.
Adam, Jack -john-, Ryan, and all the producers and helpers making AJR music a reality, thank you so much for giving me a way to put my feelings into words.

HOLY! The line were Ryan talks about laughing and how the his dog loves the other person and then says
"But my parents used to laugh too
And I think they had a dog"
AJR's parents are divorced
so basically, he's saying that although they are happy together, they could end up like his parents!

As someone who is Aroace, this trilogy actually speaks out to me. It starts off with you meeting someone that you think you like in part 1, but in part 2, you then figure out that you actually arenāt in love with them and is truly heartbreaking. And finally in part 3, is accepting that you cant feel romantic love and wishing that person luck to finding someone that they truly love. Itās one hell of a ride if you listen to it all in one sitting, and I am really glad that you can help express this feeling through song. Hence why this is my favorite album, it talks about problems we are facing, and how we can overcome them and find who we truly are.
