One of the best songs of the 20th century! Supposedly written in memory of the original Sally Bowles, who was actually Jean Ross and the paramour of lyricist Eric Maschwitz. And even if none of the above is true, it remains one of THE GREAT SONGS!! Loved ROXY MUSIC back in the day and always.

Oh my dear. I’m so incredibly grateful to have secured tickets to actually see my god live in Toronto this September , along with my sister !!!!!! Can not wait.
